The only other way to beat them is to get in close or let the arty take them out. This causes the situation where these heavy tanks can roll down a street safe behind their own armor and use their big guns to one shot or deal heavy damage to any tank that even tries to take a shot at them. Lots of tanks at their own teir can't pen them without premium rounds and lots of people don't want to lose credits from firing those rounds or don't have them loaded at all. As is the case with the Japanese heavies in the PC version of the game.

The problem with your post is that there are people who don't want to play World of Tanks due to that game having arty. It's much better than a PC port of a mobile port.
